DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Teach Political Philosophy With Role-immersion: A Training Conference<br></strong>University of California\, San Diego<br>June 16-17 2022<br>Registration deadline: May 20.</p>\n<p>This conference will train university instructors in the use of role-immersion pedagogy. Role-immersion games see students adopt the role of a character\, from whose point of view they give speeches\, write essays and work with and against other players. Commercially available games are designed for use in history classrooms. This conference will feature Justice: The Game\, the first role-immersion game designed to teach political philosophy. Because the best way to learn how to use the game is to play it\, conference attendees will play the game over the course of two days\, after which they will be able to run it in their own classrooms</p>\n<p><strong>Conference Logistics</strong></p>\n<p>We hope to organize the conference as an in-person event\, but it may take place online\, depending on the state of the Covid-19 pandemic. We will confirm what mode the conference will take place in by May 16.</p>\n<p>The registration fee is $60 for faculty\, $40 for graduate students.</p>\n<p>Interested in attending?
