DESCRIPTION:<p>CALL FOR APPLICATIONS</p>\n<p>Masterclass with Professor Jessica Moss (NYU)</p>\n<p>&ldquo\;Plato's Bright Line: An Ethical-Metaphysical Epistemology&ldquo\;</p>\n<p>July 26&ndash\;28\, 2022</p>\n<p>Hybrid (LMU Munich and online)</p>\n<p>Apply by April 20\, 2022</p>\n<p>The Philosophy Students' Union at the University of Munich is happy to announce the 13th Munich Philosophical Masterclass\, &ldquo\;Plato's Bright Line: An Ethical-Metaphysical Epistemology&rdquo\;\, on July 26&ndash\;28\, 2022 with Jessica Moss. Jessica Moss is Professor of Philosophy at New York University\, and her inventive and influential contributions to the history of Philosophy\, especially on Plato's epistemology\, will be the topics of this masterclass.</p>\n<p>If you are interested in discussing Professor Moss' work on the difference between episteme and doxa in Plato\, with a focus on its metaphysical and ethical grounds\, how Plato's epistemology compares to contemporary epistemology\, and related issues in a small group of motivated students\, please apply with a letter of motivation by April 20\, 2022.</p>\n<p>We are looking to have a diverse group of around 15 to 20 participants. We very much welcome applications from students at any university and both from graduate\, including doctoral\, and undergraduate students. In order to prepare for the masterclass\, participants are expected to attend a weekly preparatory seminar that will take place on Tuesdays\, from April 26th to July 19th.
