DESCRIPTION:Three Day Workshop 20-22 June 2022\, at Wycliffe Hall\, University of Oxford\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n
The question of what it means to be human has never been more relevant. Are we just our brains? Or is there more to us? Will computers one day be able to do everything that we can do? And if so\, what does that say about our value? And what will become of the planet on which humans emerged? These developments at the cutting edge of science go right to the heart of the question of human value and purpose and in the universe.&nbsp\;
&nbsp\;
\n
At this workshop we will consider three streams falling under the heading of Science and the Human Person:
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Human Person and Intelligent Machines
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Human Person and the Environment
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Human Person and the Body
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n
The keynote speakers are:
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Dr Sharon Dirckx
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Jessica Wyatt
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Dr Mike Moorcroft
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Dr Hannah Christensen
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Prof Nigel Crook
●&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Prof John Lennox
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
