DESCRIPTION:<p>Binghamton University&rsquo\;s philosophy graduate program invites submissions for its 2022 graduate student conference. <strong>This year's conference will be held online.</strong></p>\n<p>Our keynote speaker will be Elizabeth Barnes of the University of Virginia.</p>\n<p>The conference theme broadly focuses on our program&rsquo\;s specialization in social\, political\, ethical and legal (SPEL) philosophy. We hope to accept a range of papers that ask important questions and start meaningful dialogues on SPEL topics.</p>\n<p>Acceptable subgenres of SPEL themes include\, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Applied social and political philosophy</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Applied ethics</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Normative ethics</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Metaethics</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Critical theory</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Feminist philosophy</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Philosophy of race</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Social epistemology</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Philosophy of education</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Theories of risk</p>\n<p>Submissions in these areas from any philosophical tradition are welcome.</p>\n<p>Submissions must include an anonymized full paper of about 3000 words\, with a view for a 20-minute presentation followed by 10 to 20 minutes of Q&amp\;A.</p>\n<p>In your submission email please include:</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Name</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; University affiliation</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Current level of graduate studies</p>\n<p>&middot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; SPEL themes relevant to your paper</p>\n<p>Each submission will be anonymously reviewed by conference committee members.
