We envision a trans philosophy conference as a place to share some of these thoughts in dialogue. We welcome presentations from across theoretical approaches\, disciplinary boundaries\, and academic divides that engage with trans experiences and perspectives. We will accept both individual and group proposals for presentations\, and can provide some language interpretation and translation services for presentations not in English.</p>\n<p>This year we will be conducting a hybrid conference to include options for both meeting in person and for joining online. The success of the previous online conference indicates that including these options fosters further openness and accessibility\, which we hope to foster alongside in person conversations and connections. We prioritize work that centers trans experience and hence preference will be given to participants who self-identify as trans (broadly construed).</p>\n<p>Topics might include (but are not limited to):</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trans of color critique</li>\n<li>Trans terminologies\, concepts\, and narratives</li>\n<li>Trans identities\, experiences\, knowledges\, and epistemology</li>\n<li>Trans ecopoetics and ecophilosophies</li>\n<li>Decolonizing trans thought and activism</li>\n<li>Trans panics and backlash</li>\n<li>Trans theory meets trans literature</li>\n<li>Curiosity\, inquiry\, and trans epistemologies</li>\n<li>Trans activism and climate change</li>\n<li>Trans epistemic injustice\, institutional access\, and complaint</li>\n<li>Trans health and experiences of the pandemic</li>\n<li>Trans geographies\, including the geographical situatedness of &ldquo\;trans&rdquo\;</li>\n<li>Trans disability critique and trans/crip theory</li>\n<li>Trans care\, friendship\, love\, and community</li>\n<li>Algorithms\, data\, surveillance\, and technology</li>\n<li>Radical trans critique\, including trans Marxism and anarchism</li>\n<li>Visibility\, representation\, and aesthetics</li>\n<li>Trans oppression\, flourishing\, and intersectionality</li>\n<li>Trans sexuality and pathologization</li>\n<li>Thinking with trans histories and archives</li>\n<li>Imprisonment and abolition</li>\n<li>Trans labor and political economy\, including sex work\, service work\, and critiques of the tech industry</li>\n<li>Connections between trans theory\, the social sciences\, and public policy</li>\n<li>The material conditions of trans thought and trans knowledge production</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Please submit a completed individual or panel abstract of no more than 500-750 words for anonymous review. If your submission is a panel submission\, please note this in the body of the e-mail and on the submission itself. Please also mark if you plan to attend in person or remotely. A separate title page with identifying information of the author/s\, including electronic address\, paper title\, and brief author bio/s should also be submitted.</p>\n<p>We will be providing a limited number of scholarships to students and underemployed academics and activists.
