But is this an illusion? Would it be wiser to see religion as a dangerous and authoritarian game\, or do we require a plurality of belief systems to offset the monolith of scientific knowledge?&nbsp\;
\n
The Limits of My World&nbsp\;(Sunday 26th&nbsp\;May 5:30pm)
\n
Language has been the focus of philosophical enquiry for the last century. But was the &lsquo\;linguistic turn&rsquo\; a wrong turn\, leading to a barren discipline without &lsquo\;real world&rsquo\; influence? Is it time for a fresh approach to the big issues\, or would this be a capitulation to intellectual fantasy?
\nLetting Go&nbsp\;(Saturday 1st&nbsp\;June 10:30am)

Ours is a consumer society. We work in order to buy\, and measure our success in possessions. Is this a tragic error? Should we seek to free ourselves from our attachment to material things as a route to happiness\, or is this just an opiate for the unsuccessful?\n\n
&lsquo\;A cerebral and imaginative start to the summer season&rsquo\;&nbsp\;(The Independent)
\n
&lsquo\;A storming success&rsquo\;&nbsp\;(The New Scientist)
\n
&lsquo\;Europe&rsquo\;s answer to TED&rsquo\;&nbsp\;(Total Politics)

\n\n

\n
For media accreditation\, images and interview requests\, contact Bianca Brigitte Bonomi or Anna Southby at Bed PR.
\n
E:&nbsp\;bianca@bedpr.com&nbsp\;/ M: 07878194220
\n
E:&nbsp\;anna@bedpr.com
\n
For more information\, visit:&nbsp\;
