Call for Papers:
\nThe horizons of the symbolic imagination in the world of nature \;
We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the second issue of &ldquo\;Cosmotheoros&rdquo\;\, the International Journal of Environmental Epistemology. In this case\, its main theme deals with the symbolic roots that vertebrate the countless imaginaries around nature that run through human history. The goal of this issue is to publish articles focused on the symbol considered as the basis of our understanding of the natural reality\, which has generally been ignored in contemporary scenarios where the eco-political discourse\, or certain dominant worldviews of the natural\, are established under the influence of economic and techno-scientific criteria. With that in mind\, there seems to be\, with some relevant exceptions (Carl Gustav Jung\, Ernst Cassirer\, Pavel Florenskij\, Paul Ricoeur\, Edwin Panofsky\, Nathan Sö\;derblom\, Rudolf Otto\, Mircea Eliade\, Gilbert Durand\, etc.)\, an lack of approaches in conventional academic literature that address symbol as a complex set of beliefs and ideas about nature.
However\, the symbol has never been in danger of disappearing. It persists in the most reserved substrata of human culture\, offering a concrete experience of natural reality that moves between the affective\, the volitional and the cognitive. This is why the emblematic part of nature continues to possess a capital\, albeit discreet\, importance also in our modernity\, insofar as it possesses an unquestionable expressive force to channel the aesthetic-literary reveries\, the technological mythologems of the present\, the fictional anticipations and the future imaginaries of our role on a terrestrial scale.
The editors welcome the application of original manuscripts on nature as symbol\, covering approaches in the fields of philosophy\, arts\, psychoanalysis\, anthropology\, mythology\, religion\, sociology\, and so on. Some of the topics that would be appropriate for this special issue include\, but are not limited\, the following:

\nLos Horizontes de la Imaginació\;n Simbó\;lica en el Mundo de la Naturaleza
\nTenemos el placer de anunciar la apertura del plazo para presentar artí\;culos orientados al segundo nú\;mero de la Revista Internacional de Epistemologí\;a Ambiental Cosmotheoros. Esta vez\, su temá\;tica principal se adentra en las raí\;ces simbó\;licas que se hallan y\, al mismo tiempo\, estructuran los incontables imaginarios en torno a la naturaleza que cabe dar cuenta a la largo de la historia de la humanidad. De esta manera\, prestamos atenció\;n a una ví\;a de acceso\, como es el sí\;mbolo (y su relació\;n con la realidad natural)\, que ha sido\, por lo general\, ignorado o postergado en los escenarios contemporá\;neos donde se da preeminencia al discurso eco-polí\;tico o a ciertas visiones dominantes de lo natural establecidos bajo criterios econó\;micos o tecno-cientí\;ficos. En este sentido\, se observa\, salvo honrosas excepcionas (Carl Gustav Jung\, Ernst Cassirer\, Pavel Florenskij\, Paú\;l Ricoeur\, Edwin Panofsky\, Nathan Sö\;derblom\, Rudolf Otto\, Mircea Eliade\, Gilbert Durand\, etc.) una ausencia en la literatura acadé\;mica convencional del abordaje del sí\;mbolo como un vector de comprensió\;n indirecto de la naturaleza. No obstante\, el sí\;mbolo nunca se ha encontrado en peligro de desaparecer. Persiste en los sustratos má\;s reservados de la cultura humana\, ofreciendo una experiencia concreta de la realidad natural que se mueve entre lo afectivo\, lo volitivo y lo cognoscitivo. Es por ello que la parte emblemá\;tica de la naturaleza sigue poseyendo una importancia capital\, aunque discreta\, tambié\;n en nuestra modernidad\, en la medida en que posee una incuestionable fuerza expresiva para canalizar las ensoñ\;aciones esté\;tico-literarias\, los mitologemas tecnoló\;gicos del presente\, las anticipaciones de ficció\;n y los imaginarios futuros de nuestro papel a escala terrestre.
\nLa Revista Internacional de Epistemologí\;a Ambiental Cosmotheoros invita a enviar presentaciones para este nú\;mero especial dedicado la naturaleza como sí\;mbolo\, donde se abarquen abordajes filosó\;ficos\, artí\;sticos\, psicoanalí\;ticos\, antropoló\;gicos\, mí\;tico-religiosos\, socioló\;gicos\, etc. \; A continuació\;n compartimos algunos temas posibles (aunque no son una limitante)
