Details

In the time of Anthropocene, where human behaviour irreversibly affects our environment, social science is increasingly often called for as the quick fix to solve problems of excess consumption, conflicts over land use, and lack of effective regulation. But as suggested by Einstein, we cannot solve problems using the same kind of thinking that created them. The purpose of this conference is to provoke thought on new ways for social theory to explore environment-society relations. With this conference, we warmly welcome researchers from all social science disciplines and paradigms to present their newest research related to aspects of social and environmental change and their interaction.
