A celebration of Millikans groundbreaking contributions to philosophy and the 40th anniversary of her seminal book Language, Thought, and Other Biological Categories (LOBC) brinding together researchers from a variety of disciplines -- philosophy, linguistics, psychology, anthropology, and biology -- to engage both critically and creativelv with Millikan's work.

We will have a panel discussion, led by Daniel Dannett (Tufts, Philosophy), including Marc Artiga (Valencia, Philosophy), Janice Dowell (Syracuse, Philosophy), William Lycan (UConn, Philosophy), Krisztina Orban (Tubingen, Philosophy), and Hong Yu Wong (Tubingen, Philosophy).
Finally, we will also host a special session titled 'Millikanian Ideas: the Next Generation' by Nimra Asif (UConn), Karl Bergman (Uppsala), Drew Johnson (Oslo), Alison Springle (Oklahoma).
We invite short papers of roughly 3,000 words excluding references that are accessible to an interdisciplinary audience. The papers should be suitable for a 20-25 minute presentation and include an abstract of 250 words. Please prepare the paper for a blind review by removing any author identitying information from the paper and including a separate cover sheet with the title of the paper, author's name, and information.
