From October 25th to 26th an interdisciplinary workshop on religious
feelings will take place at the University of Tuebingen. Philosophers,
theologians and researchers from other disciplines will discuss the
importance of feelings for religious beliefs. Questions discussed will
include the following: Are religious feelings capable of justifying
religious beliefs? Are religious feelings a prerequisite for the acquisition
of certain religious beliefs? Or, conversely, are religious beliefs a
prerequisite for experiencing certain religious feelings? Keynote speakers
will be Eva-Maria Düringer (Tübingen), Stefan Huber (Bern), Petri
Järveläinen (Lapinlahti), Michael Lacewing (London), Birgit Recki (Hamburg),
Gundula Reinshagen (Tübingen),  Katja Thörner (Munich) and Ruth Tietjen
(Tübingen). The workshop will take place in the “Fürstenzimmer” of the
castle Hohentübingen (Burgsteige 11) and is funded by the John Templeton
Foundation (Analytic Theology Project). Conference language: English/German.

Anyone interested is welcome to join. Please contact the organizing team if
