The Sport and Society in America conference invites proposals for individual papers focused on the philosophy of sport. The conference welcomes submissions on any topic related to the philosophy of sport, including (but not limited to) the ethics of sport, the socio-political function of sport, and the epistemology and ontology of sport.  Special consideration will be given to papers that, without sacrificing philosophical rigor, are wholly or partially accessible to a non-specialist audience.

The conference will be hosted by St. Norbert College and the Green Bay Packers. Deadline for submission of abstracts is January 23, 2012. Please visit the conference Web site for further information, including submission procedures.
