Philosophers, psychologists and neuroscientists are investigating the nature of expertise where this is understood as a term broadly covering various kinds of know-how, attention-based knowledge, skills, action planning, and the like. Research into expertise is also a significant part of the inquiry into the nature of consciousness and action. Improvement in the philosophical understanding and actual conduct of practice should promote a better integration of discourse about expertise and the practice of such expertise itself. The workshop is intended for philosophers, psychologists, neuroscientists along with educationalists.
