'What is democracy? What is it good for?',  a paper by Distinguished Visiting Scholar Josiah Ober (Stanford).
With responses by Ben Gray (Edinburgh), Mirko Canevaro  (Edinburgh), David Carter (Reading) and Nicholas Cole (Oxford)
Followed by a round table discussion with Political Scientists  Nicholas Rengger (St Andrews), Tony Lang (St Andrews) and  Mathias Thaler (Edinburgh)
