In 2006 Rosi Braidotti called the European Union a ‘frame of enunciation’ for ‘nomadic identities’. In 2014 the United Kingdom is again pitted against such a ‘continental’ vision of European geodemographics. Deleuze explicitly defines the nomad as different to the migrant. In this talk, Eva Aldea will assess whether Deleuze’s concept of the nomad is still useful for navigating current events and responses to the European project.
