Details

The IAPCS is hosting a satellite session in the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Rochester, NY, in conjunction with the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy (SPEP).

We invite abstracts (maximum 500 words) for papers that explore the intersection of phenomenology and the cognitive sciences. This includes developing approaches to naturalized phenomenology, neurophenomenology, and generally fostering communication between the continental phenomenological tradition, analytic philosophy of mind, and the empirical sciences. Phenomenology is here understood as a philosophical discipline and method in the tradition started by Edmund Husserl, and including the work of Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty and numerous others.

We reserve one slot for a graduate student presentation.

Please note that presentations must be brief (no more than 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for discussion).

Abstracts should be sent as email attachments to [email protected]

Deadline for submissions is April 24.
