Duksung Women's University in Seoul, Korea, together with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), is pleased to announce its call for applications for the First World Congress of Global Partnership for Young Women.

Under the title of “Sharing Together: A Sustainable Global Partnership for Gender Equality and Young Women’s Empowerment,” Duksung Women’s University aims to support UN Women’s efforts towards the empowerment of women and gender equality. The Congress is specially designed for young women in Asia and Africa, expanding on their understanding of partnership approaches in seeking solutions to women’s issues and enhancing the development of women.

The organizing committee will provide the successful applicants from Asia and eight African countries with full financial support, including return air tickets, accommodation, and meals. Please note that for participants from countries other than Asia and the eight African countries listed below, only accommodation and meal costs will be covered.

The organizing committee of the Congress appreciates your attention and requests that you will distribute this information to those who may find it relevant.

Participants: Undergraduate students age 18 and over

  • The organizing Committee wishes to express its regrets that financial support is limited to students from Asia and eight African countries (Cameroon, Congo (Republic of), Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zimbabwe)
  • Only team based applications will be considered. A team should be comprised of three students (either three females OR two females and one male).
