Submission deadline: July 31, 2012

Details

Dialectic: Undergraduate Journal of the University of York Philosophy Society

The theme of the next issue will be ‘Pragmatism & Justification’. Papers will be accepted on any aspect of this theme. Though discussions of pragmatist theories of truth and justification are the most obvious, discussions of pragmatic approaches to other areas of philosophy, for example in ethical or political thought, will also be enthusiastically welcomed.

Articles should be pitched for an undergraduate audience, though not necessarily for undergraduates in philosophy. Knowledge of the topic and philosophical terminology, therefore, should never be presumed and should always be explained with clarity. Though discussions of technical issues in these areas isn’t discouraged, they will be penalised if they don’t meet this criteria. Submissions should be around 1000 - 1500 words, referenced fully in the Harvard style and should be submitted to [email protected] by July 31st. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to send an email to the aforementioned address, otherwise visit:
