Essays in Philosophy is accepting submissions for a special issue called Moral Psychology and War.

War and violent conflict presents unique and philosophically rich challenges to thinking about moral psychology. Combatants, non-combatants, survivors, and bystanders face extraordinary moral choices and confront complex moral emotions during conflict. The aim of this volume is to explore the complexities of moral psychology and war.

We welcome submissions dealing with all aspects of moral psychology and war (war construed broadly to include violent conflict). Topics include, but aren't limited to:

• Moral emotions during and after combat
• Moral reasoning during and after combat
• Moral psychology and technology
• Forgiveness, anger, and blame (with regard to both combatants and non-combatants)
• Moral psychology and post-combat trauma and recovery
• Moral injury
