We invite submissions for both contributed papers and proposals for symposia (in Spanish, English or Galician) to the following sections:

A. Logic, history and philosophy of logic.
B. Philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology.
C. Philosophy and methodology of science.
D. History of science.
E. Science, technology and society.

Deadline for the admission of abstracts for contributed papers and symposia: March 15th, 2012.
Deadline for acceptance: April 22nd, 2012.
Deadline for the submission of the final version of accepted papers and presentations to symposia (in order to be published in the proceedings): June 3rd, 2012.

The allocated time for delivering contributed papers at the conference will be 30 minutes, discussion included. The allocated time for symposia at the conference will be of two hours with at most 5 participants.

To facilitate blind refereeing by a scientific committee, submissions are to be uploaded in a document (in .doc, .rtf, .txt or .pdf format) without the author(s) name(s). Submissions of contributed papers should have no more than 1000 words, Times New Roman 12, double space. Submissions for symposia (without author names) should include a brief abstract for each participant and an extended symposium proposal and justification, together in a single document in .doc, .rtf, .txt or .pdf format. The extended symposium proposal should include a general description of the topic of the proposed symposium and its significance (up to 1000 words).

Financial support for young researchers

The SLFMCE will provide financial support for the three best contributions submitted by young researchers. Candidates must fulfil the conditions listed below:

  1. to be a master student or a PhD (doctoral dissertation read after the 30th of may, 2006)
  2. to be a member of the SLMFCE when the contribution is submitted to the organizing committee
  3. to get the highest rank for the submitted contribution at the blind process of refereeing


Funds are intended to cover the registration fee, travel and accommodation expenses (maximum 500€). If there were more than three candidates who fulfil the aforementioned conditions, the organizing committee could decide about sharing the total amount (1.500€) among them.
