Details

We invite submissions of high quality work to be considered for presentation at

The 12th Annual Mark L. Shapiro

Graduate Philosophy Conference

Hosted by the Department of Philosophy at Brown University on

17 and 18 November 2017

We aim to cover a range of philosophical topics, so submissions in any area of philosophy are welcome. We especially encourage submissions from members of groups that have been traditionally underrepresented in the field.

Submissions should be suitable for presentation in a 25-30 minute talk. Talks will receive comments from a graduate student.

The submission deadline has been updated to 1 September 2017. Decisions will be sent by October 10th.

If you would like to submit your work, please prepare the following:

(1) A philosophical essay of 3,500 words or fewer of body text, suitable for blind review.

(2) A document containing your name, institution, email address, the title of your paper, and an abstract of 200 words or less.

Email these as separate PDF documents to:

[email protected].

We will guarantee free accommodation; please feel free to contact us if you need any sort of special accommodation.

If you have questions or concerns, you may contact the conference organizers, Louis Gularte and Taylor White, again at [email protected].
