The APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy and the APA Committee on Philosophy in Two-Year Colleges will host a session on teaching philosophy online as part of the APA/AAPT Teaching Hub at the APA Pacific Division meeting, March 28-April 1, 2018 in San Diego, CA.

The session will consist of three to four brief presentations (approximately 15 minutes in length) on teaching philosophy in an online and/or hybrid format. Topics might include: distinct challenges to teaching philosophy in a virtual environment, innovative online teaching strategies, effective approaches to teaching a specific philosophical text online, etc.

The APA/AAPT Teaching Hub is a set of sessions about teaching philosophy held at various divisional meetings of the APA, emphasizing inclusive and collegial interactions.  The Teaching Hub coordinates conversations about the teaching of philosophy at all levels, pre-college through graduate school.  For more information about the Teaching Hub at the 2018 Pacific Division Meeting, contact Mark Jensen, [email protected].
