We invite you to participate in a whole day reception workshop for Dr. Michela Massimi, new appointment at the Philosophy Department of the University of Edinburgh. The workshop will take place on the 24th of October 2012 in the Dugald Stewart Building of the University (rooms 3.10 and 1.17). The workshop will address different areas of intersection between Philosophy of Science, as a general discipline, and Philosophy of Cognitive Science. The aim is to explore possible paths of reciprocal enrichment between these two philosophical fields, with special emphasis on the different kinds of models and explanations available in science in general and in the cognitive sciences in particular.
