What role should truth have in a just and democratic society? How important are claims to truth for resisting unjust social practices? Can democracies effectively handle problems related to misinformation and limited information?
Truth, Power, and the Foundations of Democracy is an interdisciplinary project aimed at addressing these questions, and related ones. The project is co-organized by J. Russell Muirhead (Dartmouth Government) and David Plunkett (Dartmouth Philosophy). It includes three workshops happening during the summer of 2019, of which this workshop is the first.
