Special Issue: The Work of Haruki Murakami (2022)

In Statu Nascendi - Journal of Political Philosophy and International Relations is now inviting new submissions. Authors are welcome to submit Articles, Book Reviews, and Commentaries to our next volume that will be published in 2022. Manuscripts should approach the work of Haruki Murakami philosophically; our interpretation of ‘philosophic’ is fairly broad and submissions may include political, sociological, or psychoanalytic perspectives. We hope in this special issue to publish one of the first academic treatments of this highly influential writer and to create valuable interdisciplinary dialogue.

ISN is published by Ibidem Press in Europe and distributed by Columbia University Press in the USA.

Submission instructions

Along with standard Research Articles (up to 8,000 words) and Book Reviews (up to 6,000 words), ISN also welcomes short Commentaries supplementing existing research on Murakami. An abstract should accompany each manuscript (max. 500 words plus at least five keywords). Please also send a short biography (personal information of the author(s) with full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), prior publications, and contact information).

All submitted proposals are refereed, evaluated and peer-reviewed by a diverse board of Editors and Editorial Advisors. The paper is accepted for publication only if it meets high scholarly standards of originality, significance, and rigor.
