DESCRIPTION:<p>Another year of the Emotion and Society Lab'sWorks In Progress series is around the corner. It begins on the first Tuesday of October 2026 from 11-12pm Pacific. It&rsquo\;s a <strong>virtual nine-month</strong> philosophy series with no meetings in January\, August\, and September.</p>\n<p>We have some workshop slots available and would love for you to discuss your work on emotions\, moods\, attitudes\, etc.</p>\n<p><strong>This year we are taking both read-ahead papers AND 30 minute Works-In-Progress Talks (with powerpoint/Keynote\, etc.)</strong></p>\n<p>If you want your work workshopped this year\, please email an abstract to <strong>emotionandsocietylab@gmail.com. </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Write &ldquo\;WIP Abstract&rdquo\; as the subject and indicate if it will be the Full Paper or a Presentation in the email.</strong></p>\n<p>Though we can&rsquo\;t accept every abstract\, we hope you will submit yours for consideration.</p>\n<p><em>Graduate Students\, Post-docs\, and Faculty are welcome to submit.</em></p>\n<p>For the sake of building community\, those who are accepted are expected to participate in other sessions other than their own in the semester they present.</p>\n<p>If you have any questions\, please email the above address.</p>\n<p><strong>Deadline</strong>: <strong>September 4\, 2026 by 5pm Pacific.</strong></p>

DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Philosophers working on emotions</strong> want to produce good work. But good work is never done alone. The WIP Series is an opportunity to learn what emotion scholars are working on as well as present works in progress and receive valuable feedback to improve them &mdash\; all in a casual\, friendly environment.</p>\n<p>The WIP series is <strong>virtual</strong> and takes place the <strong>first Tuesday of the month</strong> from October-July (with no meetings January) from 11:00-12pm Pacific/ 2-3pm Eastern.<br><br><em>At this time\, sessions are for faculty\, graduate students\, &amp\; independent scholars only.</em></p>\n<p>Register for the zoom link below.</p>
