DESCRIPTION:The Society for Epistemology and Logic of Peru (SEPLO) is pleased to announce EPILOG 1: First Congress for Epistemology and Logic\, to be held in Lima\, Peru\, from 22 to 28 February 2027.
\nThis inaugural congress marks the beginning of a planned series of meetings dedicated to the study of epistemology and logic\, bringing together scholars\, researchers\, and students from diverse backgrounds. The event offers a space for rigorous discussion and exchange on topics including logic\, epistemology\, philosophy of science\, analytic philosophy\, metaphysics\, social philosophy\, empirically informed approaches\, and both philosophically and scientifically oriented studies.
\nTopics and Suggested Sessions
\nSubmissions are welcome on all topics in epistemology\, logic\, and related areas. Proposed thematic sessions include\, but are not limited to:
\n\n- Beyond Loyalty and Disloyalty: The Social and Political Commitments of Science
\n- El Lunarejo: The Legacy of Juan de Espinosa Medrano
\n- From Science to AI\, and Backwards: Interactions between AI\, Science\, and Philosophy
\n- Ifs\, Thens\, and Otherwises: New Perspectives on the Logic of Conditionals
\n- Logic\, Reality\, and Beyond: Logical Approaches to Metaphysics
\n- Noise\, Errors\, and Flaws: Approaches to Defective Science
\n- Many Logics\, Many Reasons? The Meaning of Logical Monism and Pluralism
\n- Scientific Publishing and Publishing Scientifically: Academic Publishing under Scrutiny
\n- Scientists as Subjects: The Sociology and Historiography of Science
\n- The Shape of Thought: Diagrams in Philosophy and Science
\n- This Workshop Is about This Workshop: Self-Referential Expressions
\n- Ways of Knowing: The Philosophy of Methodology and Heuristics
\n- Proposals addressing other topics relevant to epistemology\, logic\, and closely related disciplines are equally encouraged.

\n\n\nSubmission Categories\nWe invite submissions for talks and thematic sessions (including round tables and workshops).\n \;\n\nIndividual Paper Abstracts:
\nAuthors are invited to submit abstracts for individual papers.
\n\n- Abstracts must be anonymised (no author-identifying information).
\n- Length: 300&ndash\;500 words.
\n- The body of the email must include:
\n\n- Author name(s)
\n- Institutional affiliation(s)
\n- Email address
\n- Title of the paper

\nWe invite proposals for thematic sessions of various formats\, including standard paper sessions\, round tables\, and workshops.
\nAll thematic session proposals should include:
\n\n- Title of the session
\n- Name(s) and affiliation(s) of organiser(s)
\n- A description of the session including its theme (400&ndash\;800 words)
\n- The proposed format (e.g. paper session\, round table\, workshop)
\n- A list of proposed participants (if available)
\n
