The Graduate Philosophical Association (GPA) of the University of Oklahoma (OU) invites folks intending to apply to graduate programs in Philosophy to send in their writing samples for our annual Writing Sample Workshop. Students whose papers are accepted have the opportunity to present their papers and will receive constructive feedback from OU graduate students in the form a working group.
\nWe invite papers on any topic (Max 6000 words\, including footnotes). Please also include a short statement of intent. Preference will be given to folks applying to the University of Oklahoma's graduate program. Accomodation and rides to/from the airport \;

Students whose papers are accepted will have the opportunity to workshop their papers and receive constructive feedback from OU graduate students in an intensive one-day session. Participants will also have the opportunity to brainstorm their cover letters and statement of purpose\, with guidance from members of the Admissions Committee. \;

\nWe welcome abstracts on any topic in the philosophy of religion. We particularly encourage submissions addressing underexplored topics and traditions. We consider all submissions from current graduate students.
\nLimited travel and accommodation support is available for accepted speakers whose institutions cannot provide funding. Unfortunately\, we are unable to cover travel expenses from overseas. We expect to be able to support approximately five speakers.

\nThe University of Oklahoma Philosophy of Religion Forum is a regular series of events intended to bring together scholars working in philosophy of religion and related areas. The forum is designed to provide an informal and friendly environment in which participants can share current work\, exchange ideas\, and receive constructive feedback to one another. We especially hope to foster open discussion and a strong intellectual community among faculty members\, graduate students\, and visiting scholars with a wide range of philosophical interests.
