\nWe are pleased to announce the Third &ldquo\;Frontiers in Ethics and Political Philosophy&rdquo\; Workshop\, which will take place at Zhejiang University on October 17-18\, 2026. This workshop aims to bring together scholars to explore and discuss issues related to equal relations and social justice\, broadly conceived.
\nWorkshop Theme: \;Equal Relations and Social Justice
\nRecent developments in ethics and political philosophy have increasingly emphasized the relational dimensions of justice\, arguing that a just society requires not only fair distributions of resources and opportunities but also social relations characterized by equality\, mutual respect\, and freedom from domination. We intend for this workshop to have a broad remit within this topic. Submissions may engage with the work of influential thinkers in these debates\, including Elizabeth Anderson\, Iris Marion Young\, David Miller\, Thomas Scanlon\, Samuel Scheffler\, and others.

\nWe invite submissions addressing any aspect of equal relations and social justice\, including but not limited to:

\nInterested authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (500-1000 words) for blind review. Abstracts should be submitted to frontiersworkshop@foxmail.com by August 10\, 2026. We welcome submissions from scholars at all career stages.
\nLanguages: English\, Chinese.
\nThere will be 6-8 refereed talks (30 minutes each). Please also indicate whether you would like to be considered as a commentator.
\nParticipants are responsible for their own transportation expenses. Accommodation and meals will be covered by the organizers.

\nWe are pleased to announce that DEON 2027\, the 18th International Conference on Deontic Logic and Normative Systems\, will be held at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou\, China\, from 29 June to 1 July 2027 &mdash\; the first edition of the series to be held in Asia since its founding in 1991. The conference is hosted by the School of Philosophy of Zhejiang University and the Zhejiang University&ndash\;University of Luxembourg Joint Lab on Advanced Intelligent Systems and Reasoning (ZLAIRE).
\nThe biennial DEON conference series brings together researchers interested in the formal study of normative concepts\, normative reasoning\, and normative systems\, using methods from computer science\, artificial intelligence\, philosophy\, linguistics\, mathematics\, and law. Topics include deontic logic\, normative reasoning\, legal reasoning\, normative multi-agent systems\, explainability\, and trustworthy systems (full list on the website).
\nThe general theme of this edition is Normativity under Uncertainty. Normative systems are inescapably confronted with uncertainty: agents must frequently deliberate about what ought to be done on the basis of information that is incomplete\, imprecise\, or conflicting &mdash\; about the facts of the case\, the norms in force\, the consequences of action\, or the reliability of one's sources. This edition investigates how central normative concepts\, among them obligation\, permission\, responsibility\, and blame\, can be rigorously formalized\, interpreted\, and applied once the classical idealizations of certainty\, consistency\, and full information are lifted.
