This 10 week online course offers an accessible introduction to phenomenology\, one of the most influential philosophical traditions of the twentieth and twenty first centuries.
\nBeginning with foundational ideas in the work of thinkers such as Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger\, we will explore how phenomenology can help us think about the structure of human experience. Across the course\, we will consider themes including selfhood\, our relationships with others\, embodiment\, spatiality\, temporality\, mood\, and the contribution phenomenology can make to understanding experiences of mental health.
\nThe course is designed for beginners\, so no previous knowledge of phenomenology or philosophy is required. Sessions will combine accessible introductions to key ideas and thinkers with discussion of philosophical questions and examples from everyday experience.

\nThe \;thematic sections \;of the conference include \;all areas of philosophy of science \;(general philosophy of science\, philosophy of special sciences)\, as well as \;areas of philosophy \;(metaphysics\, epistemology\, ethics\, philosophy of language\, philosophy of mind\, history of philosophy\, political philosophy) to the extent that they are \;related to issues concerning science. \;

\nThe conference invites submissions for \;contributed papers \;and \;symposia \;and is open to all members of the academic community\, including PhD \;candidates and postgraduate students. Presentations can be in Greek or English. \;There is no registration fee. We particularly encourage submissions from individuals belonging to groups that are currently underrepresented in philosophy.
\nAbstracts should not exceed 500 words\, including any bibliographic references. &Tau\;he allocated time for delivering contributed papers will be 30 minutes\, including discussion.
\nSubmissions of a symposium proposal must include a general description of the topic and its significance (up to 500 words\, including any references) and summaries (up to 250 words\, including any references) for each contribution. Symposia will be allocated 2 hours\, and can include 3 to 5 talks. They can have any format.
