DESCRIPTION:
Free online session &middot\; Thursday\, January 21\, 2027 &middot\; 16:00&ndash\;18:00 UTC
\n
Kislon.ai presents the high-level architecture of Liriel\, a Persistent Cognitive Instance: an AI architecture designed to live with the same people for years. The presentation is followed by an open discussion.
\n
Questions we want to be challenged on:
\n
\n
What should a persistent AI say about its own inner life\, given deep uncertainty about AI consciousness?
\n
How should long-term memory soften without dissolving\, and who should be able to see and correct it?
\n
What do discretion and a duty of care look like for an AI that hears confidences from several members of one household?
\n
Why should the relationship have an exit\, designed from the start?
\n
\n
Relevant to philosophy of mind\, AI moral status and welfare\, and the ethics of human&ndash\;AI relationships. Speaker: Michelle Martins (psychologist\, founder of Kislon.ai). Kislon.ai is an independent research project\, not affiliated with a university.
\n
Registration is free: kislon.ai/#session
