Thethemeofthis conferencepicks up onthe question of life and its meaning for humanbeings and the environment, in the contexts of modern biocentric debates about contemporary environmental ethicsand the concept of life around 1800, with emphasison thephilosophy of nature. Researchers in the field of philosophy, but also fromrelated disciplines in the arts, are cordially invited to apply. 

Application documents must include: an abstract (amaximumof 400 words with no indication of authorship) and a separate document providing brief information on theapplicant’sacademic background (amaximumof one page). Email to leben.kiel2023[-at-]gmail.com.
