Details

Join us at BYU for our first annual Bioethics Conference! This is an opportunity for healthcare professionals, faculty and selected BYU students to explore moral questions in medicine and science. What do we learn from moral philosophy, what do we learn from our faith, and what do we have to teach and learn from each other?

Physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are encouraged to submit anonymized cases for discussion to the group. We will meet for serious conversation in an enjoyable setting to renew old friendships and foster new ones as we discuss some of today’s most important questions about birth, death, reproduction, and the health and illness issues in between. People of all faiths are welcome. There will be a special focus on how the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bring light to these questions. Dr. Samuel Brown, ICU physician, medical researcher and author, will offer the keynote address.
