CFP: Justifications for Community Wealth Building

We invite submissions of abstracts for presentation at a workshop on justifications for community wealth building. Our aim is to attract more philosophical engagment with this topic. We welcome attempts to disentangle different distinctive economic programmes such as community wealth building, economic democracy, localism, municipal socialism, new municipalism, and participatory socialism. In particular, we are interested in attempts to disentangle different kinds of justifications bearing on these programmes such as value-based justifications in terms of equality, autonomy, solidarity, welfare, etc. Or in terms of different relations to value such as instrumental / final, pragmatic, ideal / non-ideal. Etc. Kindly submit a blinded abstract of 500 words to [email protected] by the 29th of September. Limited funding will be available for participants.
