The colloquium aims to continue a dialogue between Chinese and African philosophers that was begun in 2011, this time with several new participants. 

The following themes will be explored: ancestors, harmony, distributive justice, democracy and human rights, and distinguished participants will include : John Mbiti (Bern, Switzerland), Bénézet Bujo (Fribourg, Switzerland), Martin Ajei (Legon, Ghana), Mogobe Ramose (Tshwane, South Africa), Tongdong Bai (Shanghai, the PRC), Joseph Chan (Hong Kong, the PRC), and Ken Wang (Beijing, the PRC).
