Topic areas

Details

JNphi and AnKa Publisher are pleased to announce a new "JNphi Graduate Essay Prize".

The subsection area/topic for the 2023 essay competition is the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and NeuroPhilosophy.

We welcome essays on any topic within this area. Entries will be assessed with regard to excellence, originality, and interest. All entries will be treated as submissions to JNphi and, in exceptional circumstances, more than one paper will be published. We aim, however, to have only one winner of the prize. Entries should be prepared in line with the JNphi guidelines for submission. Please note, in particular, that essays should be no longer than around 10,000 words.

Essays must be submitted electronically at the JNphi submission site under the article type 'Graduate Essay Prize'. Submitted articles will be published through the normal journal rules and editorial/review system.

The deadline for submission is 31 December 2023.

The editorial and publishing staff scoured data for all manuscripts published in 2022-2023 to determine the number of times each article was read on jneurophilosophy.com (combined Full-Text and PDF, ePUB usage) for the 12 months following article publication. This 12-month data was combined to create an average score for each manuscript, placing them on equal footing, independent of publication month. The articles were sorted by score, and selected based on pre-existing categories. Authors were not allowed to win twice, even for different papers or different awards.

At the end of the year, the most downloaded and most read article will be awarded the first prize.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $500.
