The Roger Mudd Center for Ethics at Washington and Lee University is pleased to invite
undergraduate submissions to the yearly Mudd Journal of Ethics. As one of the only
undergraduate journals in the country specifically dedicated to the academic study of ethical
issues, the Mudd Journal of Ethics seeks the broad and pluralistic representation of questions and
traditions pertaining to the study of human well-being.
The Center encourages undergraduate students from across the country to submit to the Journal
and have an opportunity for their work to appear in a peer-reviewed publication. Last year’s
volume of Journal, included here, brought together exciting undergraduate work on forgiveness,
biopolitics, and bioethics. Selected authors will also be invited to present their work at the annual
Mudd Center Ethics Conference. The Conference this academic year will be virtual and will take
place the weekend of March 4-5, 2023.
This is a student event (e.g. a graduate conference).
