Abstract for Neyrat's talk:

In my talk, I trace the relation between two hypotheses: first, that the Earth has become a phobic object; second, that, feeding on phobic attitudes toward the Earth, eco-fascism—an emerging form of governmentality—looms at the horizon of global politics. To defeat global eco-fascism, I argue that we need to form planetary alliances. By this, I mean environmental struggles able to exceed their local radiance and their national configuration thanks to a technology commensurate to the planet, a geo-technology put in service of the flourishing of human and non-human forms of life.
