Annual Southwest Graduate Philosophy Conference

Arizona State University 

The Conference will take place on Thursday & Friday, April 20th & 21st 2023

Note: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will be conducting the conference as a hybrid Zoom conference this year which will allow participants to attend remotely or in person as they choose.  

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ann Cudd (University of Pittsburgh). 

We welcome papers in all areas of philosophy. 

Each presenter will be given 30 minutes for their presentation and 15 minutes for Q&A, so please keep in mind a word limit of 3000-3500 words. 

Submissions should be prepared for anonymous review. Please include a separate cover page with the following information: 

  • Name

  • Institution

  • Title of paper 

  • Abstract (250 words or fewer) 

  • Contact information (email and phone number)

  • Indicate whether you would like to be a respondent for a paper and include relevant AOS/AOC. A respondent prepares at least three questions to start the presenter’s Q&A session.

  • Indicate whether you intend to attend in person or virtually.

Please include the paper of 3000-3500 words with your submission.
