The Bulgarian Society for Analytic Philosophy together with the Department of Philosophy at Sofia University are pleased to announce a forthcoming conference under the title“Naturalism in Philosophy”. The conference will take place on May 19-21, 2023 at Sofia University, Bulgaria.

Submission Guidelines

One can adopt many forms of a naturalist stance – from metaphysical naturalism trough naturalistic epistemology and moral naturalism, coming to recent attempts to argue in favour of a naturalised aesthetics. We invite abstract submissions addressing any aspect of naturalism in philosophy, including such arguing against the adoption of a naturalised stance. We celebrate the opportunity to engage together in a live debate about naturalism`s place in philosophy.

All submissions are to be prepared for a double-blind review. Abstracts should not exceed 500 words. Please submit your abstract with a short biographical note attached in a separate document. All submissions should be suitable for presentation of approximately 20 minutes in length. After each presentation, speakers will have 10 minutes for Q&A. The deadline for submissions is January 10th, 2023. Notification of acceptance will be sent until mid-February.
