2023 WISCONSIN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCATION

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS!

The annual meeting of the Wisconsin Philosophical Association (WPA) will be held on Saturday,

April 22, 2023 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. As in previous years, there

will be a session dedicated to undergraduate presentations as well as some parallel sessions (depending

on number of submissions). This year, each session will also have a commentator, who

will receive a full paper at least 10 days before the conference.

Submissions are invited from faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students, and should

be submitted to [email protected] by February 26, 2023. Papers can be in any area

of philosophy but should be suitable for a twenty-minute presentation.

Faculty and Graduate Student Submission Guidelines:

- Please email detailed abstracts (approximately 1000 words) prepared for blind

review as a .docx or .pdf attachment.

- Put “WPA submission” in the subject line.

- Indicate your name, institutional affiliation, and contact information in the body of

the email.

Undergraduate submission guidelines:

- Please email complete paper (2000-5000 words) as a .docx or .pdf attachment.

- Put “WPA undergraduate submission” in the subject line.

- Indicate your name, institutional affiliation, and contact information in the body of

the email.

- You may but need not include an endorsement of your submission from a faculty

member or advisor.

If you are willing to serve as a commentator or as a referee for submissions, please let us know

A program of the meeting will be provided by March 19, 2023.
