Summary: The Graduate Association for Philosophy Students at the University of Kansas will hold a philosophy graduate student conference on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. The conference will be held in person at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas. The conference theme is applied ethics and philosophy of science, broadly construed.
Submission Guidelines: Extended abstracts or papers may be submitted. Extended abstracts should not exceed 1000 words. Papers should not exceed 3000 words (excluding abstract and references). Papers should include an abstract not exceeding 200 words and this abstract should precede the body of the paper. All extended abstracts and papers should be prepared for blind review (no identifying affiliations or author name(s) should appear). Author(s) name, affiliation, and email shoud be included in a separate document. Submission documents should be in .PDF format and all submission documents should be emailed to [email protected] - with the subject line “GAPS Conference Submission.”
Deadline: Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at 11:59 PM CST.
Notification of Acceptance: March 10th, 2023.

We advise presenters to seek travel assistance through their home department. During the conference, presenters will be provided meals and refreshments.
