We invite you to participate in the 4th International Conference «Modern Culture and Communication, MCC-2023»,which is going to be held at the St Petersburg University, Russia, October 18-20, 2023. The conference is organized by the University of Wroclaw (Poland) and St. Petersburg State University (Russia). The working language of the conference is English. 

The purpose of the conference is to discuss topical issues of cultural transformation in the context of developing ways of communication, which are the product of the modern information society. The target audience includes researchers of trends in the development of various aspects of the culture of modern society, university professors, employees of research organizations, graduate students and students. 

In 2023, the main topic of the conference is "Problems of preservation and translation of culture in the digital age". The social significance and relevance of this topic is due to aggressive processes of influence on culture by digital society technologies. In this connection, the need to comprehend the processes of transformation of the preservation and transmission of the cultural code in the digital environment is actual. These processes are influenced by globalization, the crisis situation in the world, the mutual influence and dialogue of cultures in the digital space, which causes the need to develop new predictive approaches to the study of cultural transformation in the conditions of total digitalization. The results of research on cultural coding and codification, cultural identity, problems of preservation and development of culture in the digital space of modern culture are accepted for discussion. The proposed topic makes it possible to identify the features of not only the processes of preservation and transmission of the cultural code, but also the processes of identification and self-identification in modern culture.

It is proposed to participate in the discussion of the following main thematic areas:

Applications for participation with presentations (submission of title and abstract of the report) are submitted until June 19, 2023.

Participants of the conference are required to attend the conference personally, participation in absentia is not permitted.

Conference fees:

Ordinary conference fee - €50

Ordinary conference fee for authors from Russia and other CIS Countries – RUR 1000

For publication on the results of participation in the conference accepted scientific papers in English language, not previously published and not submitted for consideration at other conferences, journals and other publications. All materials submitted to the conference are reviewed by members of the MCC program Committee or invited experts. 

MCC-2023 conference will be held at St. Petersburg University (Russia, St. Petersburg, Mendeleev line, 5) from 18 to 20 October 2023.
