Details

The philosophies and religions of the world have sought to specify an existential meaning to human life. Their theological constructions and reasoning gravitate around this meaning. Regardless of the time in which he lives, regardless of the social, cultural and technological conditions that impact the rhythm of life, man seeks to define himself. What does this meaning of life mean for contemporary man? Are there still resources in the field of human thought and in theologies from East and West to define man's destiny in spite of the mechanized rhythm of his life?
This seminar aims at an interdisciplinary and multilateral analysis of the way in which the meaning of human life in its spiritual, philosophical and social dimensions is thought and perceived in the traditions of the West and the East.
