Workshop on Philosophy in Technology: The Philosophical Challenges for Technology from Various Points of View

April 28–29, 2023

We invite contributions to the second workshop on Philosophy in Technology.

At this second workshop, we want to reflect further on the presence of philosophy in technology and engineering. We are therefore seeking studies of the salient philosophical dimensions, or underpinnings, of technology and discussions of how philosophical insights may shed new light on what technology does or fails to do. Case studies and analyses of the interdependence between philosophy and technology are welcome. Indeed, all aspects of philosophy’s influence on technology are of interest, both for the latest technologies and more classical areas.

Proposals for presentations should be sent to [philosophyintechnology[at]gmail.com]. Participation in the workshop is free, and the language for it will be English.

The deadline for submitting proposals is March 31, 2023. 

The acceptance of proposals and presentations will be announced by April 12.
