Details

This year’s Brave New World is the 27th annual postgraduate conference organised by the Manchester Centre for Political Theory (MANCEPT). The conference will take place on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th of June 2023 at the University of Manchester. We are pleased to announce as our keynote speakers:
    • Marit Hammond (Keele University), whose work contains contributions to democratic theory and environmental political theory, with a focus on deliberative democracy, the concept of environmental sustainability, and its governance.
    • Carl Knight (University of Glasgow), who works on theories of distributive justice (egalitarianism, prioritarianism, sufficientarianism) and applied topics in distributive justice (global justice, climate change, healthcare, discrimination).

The Brave New World conference series is a leading international forum dedicated to the discussion of postgraduate research in political theory.
