This conference will depart from and engage with Reality+: Virtual Worlds and the Problems of Philosophy, by David Chalmers. Speakers will address the enduring problems of philosophy as they arise in connection with virtual worlds. It will focus on the following themes:

  • If we are living in a computer simulation, what can we know?
  • Are virtual objects and virtual worlds real?
  • What is our thought and talk about if we are living in a simulated world?
