The Schopenhauer-Gesellschaft e.V. (headquarters: Frankfurt am Main) announces its ninth essay competition.
The best essay on the topic
"Law and Justice"
will be awarded a prize money of 1500.- Euros.
Conditions of participation
Applications with a scientific paper of max. 20 pages (in German, English or French) are due by
September 30, 2023

to be submitted. Include a statement that the paper is independently written and has not yet been published.
Notes on form and submission:
Papers will be reviewed anonymously. Therefore, the name of the author may only appear on the first page (title page). The first page should contain: 1.) short, clear title of the paper, 2.) name, contact address and date of birth of the author, 3.) short German abstract (about 10-15 lines). The manuscript sheets should be numbered consecutively, including the table of contents and bibliography. The length of the paper should be between 15 and 20 pages with a font size of 12 pt and a line spacing of 1.5 lines (not counting the table of contents and bibliography). The paper should be submitted in unbound form either as a hard copy (one copy) or as a pdf file. The date of the postmark is valid for mailings. Receipt of the work will be acknowledged.
The winning paper will be published in the Schopenhauer-Jahrbuch. The prize will be awarded at the general meeting of the Schopenhauer Society in the fall of 2023.
