The purpose of this meeting is to highlight the theoretical and methodological contributions of Latina feminism by organizing a series of interdisciplinary conversations among feminist scholars in the U.S. We hope to foster constructive dialogue between differing approaches in Latina Feminism, Analytic Feminism, Continental Feminism, Women of Color Feminism, Queer Feminism, and Postcolonial Feminism. We will address issues pertaining but not limited to: intersectionality, coloniality/postcoloniality, decolonization, epistemologies of ignorance, implicit knowledge, mestizaje, mulataje, hybridity, pluralism, cultural difference, realism/antirealism, immigration, racial embodiment, social/cultural identities, Latinidad, aesthetics, and liminality.
