The University of Birmingham is delighted to host the XCVIII Joint Session from 12 to 14 July 2024.

Established in 1910, the Joint Session is the UK’s leading general philosophy conference. Held annually during the summer by the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association, it has taken place at nearly every major university in the UK and Ireland.

The largest gathering of philosophers in the country, the 2024 conference will include leading UK and international speakers from a broad range of philosophical areas. Inaugurated by the incoming President of the Mind Association, the Joint Session includes symposia, open and postgraduate sessions, and a range of satellite conferences.

There is a call for abstracts for the open sessions and the Society for Women in Philosophy (SWIP) session, and a call for papers for the postgraduate sessions. There is more information about the submission process and a link to the online submission forms here:

The deadline for the submissions is 1st of February 2024.
