DePauw University and The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics are proud to announce a multi-day symposium on AI and Ethics, where we will explore the ethical implications of how artificial intelligence will affect our future. The symposium is being organized by faculty at DePauw that represent multiple disciplines and is being co-sponsored by DePauw’s Tenzer Technology Center, DePauw’s McDermond Center for Entrepreneurship, and DePauw's School of Business and Leadership.

The symposium will bring together academics, practitioners, and students to think about the profound ways that AI might influence society. The keynote speaker is Jon Gertner, journalist, editor and bestselling author whose work focuses on science, technology, innovation, business, and society. Panels and sessions will be organized on a variety of topics including the following possibilities: 

  • AI and Politics
  • AI and Art
  • AI and Privacy
  • AI and Discrimination
  • AI and Media
  • AI and Risk
  • AI and the Future of Work
  • AI in Sport
  • AI in Medicine
  • AI and Education
  • AI and Marketing

If you are interested in participating, please submit an abstract by December 15. A limited number of modest stipends are available for presenters.
